Oct 29th 2014, the 8th conference of Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council (SJCC) was held in Changzhou. 15 collaboration agreements were signed during the conference, and four of those agreements were signed between Changzhou corporations and Singapore entities. Chairman of Flon Holdings Mr. Fuqing Qian and also vice president Mr. Xiaojin Qian attended the conference.
The governor of Jiangsu Xuedong Li, the minister of Singapore MOE Ruijie Wang, the deputy governor of Jiangsu Ziying Fu, executive secretary of Singapore MIT Sile Zhang, the mayor of Changzhou Gaoyun Fei, and secretary Li Yan were presented at the conference.
In Mr. Xuedong Li’s presentation, he said that in the past 7 years, SJCC performed as a platform between Jiangsu and Singapore, enhanced the bilateral cooperation, and has already became one of the most important international organizations that make essential contribution to Jiangsu’s development.
In Mr. Ruijie Wang’s speech, he mentioned that there are strong bonds between China and Singapore, the close relationship between the two countries is long-lasting, and the friendship benefits the both sides. In 2013, Singapore became the largest foreign investor of China, the investment growth rate was 16% and the amount exceeded $7.3 billion; meanwhile, China had became the largest trading partner of Singapore since last year, the bilateral trading volume has reached $73.1 billion at a 11% growth rate. Mr. Wang said, the collaboration between China and Singapore would be more intensive in the future.
15 cooperation agreements were signed during the conference. The contents of the agreements include capital investment innovation, smart city project, pension service, equipment design and manufacture, corporation M&A and so on.
Mr. Fuqing Qian, chairman of Flon Medical Material (China) Co., Ltd and Mr. Steven Fang, director of Singapore Clearbridge BioMedics, signed a technological cooperation agreement about IVD technology development. Flon Medical is one of the four Changzhou corporations who signed cooperation agreements with Singapore entities during this conference.
